Day by Day Itinerary

Meet and greet at JKIA by our airport representative and after a brief introduction, you will transfer to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to the land of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Arrive at the airstrip and transfer to your lodge for a hot lunch. Then have afternoon game drives in search of the wildlife.

This day is for full day game drives. Considered a land of Giants, Amboseli National Park’s vast plains stretch into the horizon becoming one with the sky. Amboseli is world famous for its massive herds of elephant including, some impressively tusked bulls drown to the areas large, lush swamplands.

Also known for its fascinating view of the always snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa), this park shares a number of borders with Tanzania and various Maasai communities. Amboseli is an amazing gift of natural wonder and home to various birds, small mammals, big cats and more.

You will have breakfast and depart for a final game drive. Later transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara.

Upon landing you will be met by your guide and will head straight out on your first game drive in the wide open savannahs of the Mara, which teems with antelope such as wildebeest and Thomson’s Gazelles. Explore this region over the next couple of days delighting in wildlife encounters, from the graceful giraffe to the mighty elephants and the Big Cats of the plains while on morning and afternoon game drives.

Enjoy a game drive at dawn and watch the Mara come to life, then enjoy a bush breakfast surrounded by African game. Observe the wonders of an unpolluted sky and enjoy some spectacular star gazing. Optional activities include a serene early morning flight in a hot air balloon or visiting a local cultural Maasai village to learn more about this unique tribe that co-exists freely with wildlife.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, lying north west of Nairobi, outside the town of Naivasha. It is part of the Great Rift valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. This is the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift Valley at 1890 m asl. There is no visible outlet but it’s believed there is an underground outflow.

Activities here include boat rides, a trip to the Crescent Island, hiking & biking, guided walks, etc – all at an extra cost and can always be arranged.

Have a morning breakfast and depart by road for Olpejeta sanctuary via Nyahururu. You will have a stop-over at the Thomson falls arriving in time for lunch at the Olpejeta House.

Spend the afternoon at leisure before departing for an afternoon game drive at 1600 hrs accompanied by a visit to Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

You will have a full day of game drives.

Having a foot on each side of the Earth is perhaps one of the best selfie opportunities you will ever get! The southern and northern hemispheres meet in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and the Equator is marked in the eastern sector of the Conservancy, near Rongai Gate. Visitors are permitted to get out of their vehicles here, and on a clear day, you will have the majestic Mount Kenya as your backdrop.

After a morning breakfast, you will depart by road for Nairobi. Arrive and transfer to JKIA for your onward flights.
